Turning Winds Academic Institute offers a unique program to help troubled teens regain their self-esteem, putting a stop to destructive behavior patterns and laying the foundation for the development of healthy new behaviors. Using an Integrated Therapeutic Curriculum model, Turning Winds helps teens exhibiting negative behaviors, such as rebelliousness, anger issues, impulsiveness, drug use, depression, or sexual promiscuity. Turning Winds Academic Institute has also helped many adolescents overcome difficulties such as poor academic performance, ADD/ADHD, Bi-Polar disorder, adoption issues, low self-esteem, weight problems, involvement in a negative peer group, or an unhealthy relationship with their family. The highly skilled staff at Turning Winds Academic Institute has extensive experience working with troubled youth, bringing to their work the knowledge that every child can change when given the right environment and the right network of support. Turning Winds Academic Institute is fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. The school accepts enrollment for up to 50 students, choosing to keep its programs small so every student can receive the personal attention they need. Additionally, the Turning Winds program only accepts students between the ages of 12 to 18, purposefully building an environment in which teens can comfortably bond with their fellow students and form new, healthy peer groups. Over the past decade, Turning Winds Academic Institute has helped hundreds of troubled youths turn their lives around, reuniting families and giving teens renewed hope for their future. The staff at Turning Winds derives a great deal of satisfaction knowing that its work will help students blossom into successful adults.
